Recipe: Twix Chocolate Squares

HEALTHY TWIX CHOCOLATE SQUARES

We all love Twix with caramel filling and chocolate, sweet and delicious! With this recipe you can easily make homemade, super tasty and healthy Twix squares without any added sugar. Perfect to serve with a cup of coffee when you have an unexpected visitor or just want to enjoy as a sweet snack.

INGREDIENTS

Base:

  • Base: 40 g butter
  • 200 g almond flour
  • 20 g coconut flour
  • 30 g Fiber Honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

Bottom:


Set the oven to 175 degrees.

Boil the Fiber Syrup Honey and butter in a saucepan until completely melted. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well until it reaches a dough-like consistency. Then line a 1.5 liter loaf pan with baking paper and press the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake in the middle of the oven until the cake takes color, about 10 minutes.

Caramel filling:


The caramel filling can be made while the base is baking as this step takes some time. Simmer the cream and fiber syrup in a saucepan for about 50 minutes until the consistency has thickened (choose a wide saucepan to make it faster). Then spread the caramel filling on the baked base.

Chocolate coating:


Melt the chocolate, preferably over a water bath. Feel free to stir in a dab of coconut oil to make it a little thicker. Then spread the chocolate coating on top of the filling.

Leave the chocolate coating to cool and sprinkle some melted dark chocolate over it for decoration. Place in the fridge and leave to set completely. Then cut into the desired size pieces and it's ready to eat! Then store it in the fridge.
Tip: Heat the knife under hot water when cutting the Twix cake into pieces to make it easier to cut.
